File Menu:

Load Local Settings

Select this option when you wish to load the current KioWare settings into the Configuration Tool.

Load Settings from File

Select this option when you wish to load the settings contained within an XML file into the Configuration Tool.  You will have the option of clearing all settings before loading the XML file.  The default file extension for KioWare XML files is .xkwl.

Save to Local Settings

Select this option when you wish to save the current Configuration Tool settings for KioWare to use.

Multi-Settings Mode

In Multi-Settings Mode, you have the option to save to an existing settings tree, or create a new named settings tree.  For more information on Mult-Settings Mode, refer to Tools/Preferences/Multi-Settings Mode.  Refer to the following screenshot.

Save Settings to File

Select this option when you wish to save your settings to an XML file.  This is useful for archival purposes or to easily copy a configuration to multiple installations.  To minimize the size of the XML file as well as to be able to determine between when a value is turned off vs not set using XML, you have the ability to specify which settings in the Configuration Tool get written out to an XML file.  For example, if you only wanted the XML file to modify the Browser Interface settings, then you could only check the Browser checkbox.  When that XML file is read by KioWare, only the Browser Settings will be modified.

Click All Settings to check all configuration checkboxes.

Refer to the following screenshot.

Reset to Defaults

Select this option when you wish to start with a clean configuration.

Exit

Used to exit the Configuration Tool.  You will be prompted if changes have been made but not saved to either KioWare Settings or an XML file.
