Requirements

• Microsoft Windows XP (SP 1 or greater), 2003, Vista, Windows 7, 2008, or 2008 R2
• Any OS listed above can be 32 or 64 bit
• Microsoft .NET Runtime v2.0 or greater
• MDAC 2.6 or greater
• Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or greater
• 25 Mb of hard disk space initially

Installation Instructions

Manual Installation:

1. Launch the KioWare installer by double-clicking on the file KioWareSetup.exe
2. Read and accept the License Agreement by clicking the I Agree button.
3. Select a directory location to install KioWare.  Click the Browse button to change the default location.
4. Begin the installation process by clicking the Install button.
5. Follow the remaining installation prompts.

Installation Details:

The installation process performs the following tasks:

1. Copies KioWare.exe, KioWare_Help_Desk.exe, KioWare_Config.exe, KioWareErrorTool.exe to the installation directory.
2. Copies KiowareLib.dll to the windows/system32 directory.
3. Copies user documentation KioWare Help.chm to the installation directory.
4. Creates a Start Menu entry for KioWare.
5. Creates registry entries starting at: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\KioWare].

Note: additional registry entries are created when the Configuration Tool is run.  KioWare will not function properly until the Configuration Tool is run.
