If your application already directly talks to a hardware device, then KioWare will not interrupt that communication; however, KioWare provides various functionality that is device specific. Input Devices
KioWare can interface with input devices such as barcode, magnetic stripe and proximity readers. When KioWare senses the reader has data, it will pass the data to a user defined page for processing. Click here for a list of supported devices.

KioWare can interface with devices such as security mats or proximity switches that can be used to enable the start and end of a user's session. Click here for a list of supported devices.

Monitoring Devices
With KioWare Server, KioWare can remotely monitor printer devices thus allowing immediate notice of low, out, or jammed paper status. Click here for a list of supported devices.

Printer Session End Devices
For applications involving confidential information, it is important to safeguard printed material. With KioWare, it is possible to have unretrieved printed material to be immediately retracted back into the kiosk when the user leaves the kiosk. Click here for a list of supported devices.
