KioWare Server is optional but is required if you wish to maintain centralized communication with your individual kiosks. The KioWare Server software resides on a server that is accessible via the Internet by all kiosks.

User Management	Manages the users who can log onto KioWare Server and what portions of the Console they have permission to use. For ease of use, customized roles can be created.
Kiosk Organization	Individual kiosks are organized into an unlimited number of projects. In KioWare Server ASP, projects can be organized into an unlimited number of sites. In addition, to provide the most organizational flexibility an unlimited number of groups can be created which can contain kiosks, projects or other groups.
Usage Statistics	Kiosk usage statistics can be uploaded to KioWare Server at an interval as quick as every 10 minutes, or at the end of every user session. KioWare Server can generate reports that display usage statistics on a per page basis that shows total page displays, total display time, maximum display time and average display time.
File Updating	KioWare Server can transfer application content, OS updates and KioWare updates on a kiosk, project, group or site basis. In addition, KioWare Server can issue kiosk shutdown, kiosk reboot or KioWare restart commands.
Remote Monitoring	To manage the status of kiosks, KioWare Server can receive heartbeat information as often as every 15 minutes. Each heartbeat contains roughly 30 performance statistics that can be used to determine the health of the kiosks. Additionally, kiosk event log data can be uploaded that can contain reports of hardware malfunction as well as OS information.
Add-Ins	KioWare Server is specially architected to enable easy addition of 3rd party Add-In functionality. Add-Ins are useful for extending KioWare Server functionality.

Reports

The following reports are available from KioWare Server: Usage Statistics Displays usage statistics for one or all kiosks within a project Project Overview Lists each kiosk in a project with revision (current and new) and last check-in times Heartbeat Report Displays history of heartbeats received from a kiosk. Can drill into any heartbeat for detailed view of 30+ performance parameters. Content Update History Displays history of files downloaded to the kiosk. Survey Data Results Displays summary statistics of survey information uploaded from kiosk. Content Traversal Used to analyze the most common paths taken by the user. Ex, what was the most common second page viewed? Kiosk Events Displays the event log for a kiosk. Urgent Event Log Displays the urgent event log for a kiosk. Stats Upload History Displays the history of statistics uploaded for a kiosk. Survey Results Upload History Displays the history of surveys uploaded for a kiosk. Since KioWare Server uses a Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL database to store the data, user created custom reports can also be readily created using Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, ASP, etc.
