Windows Steady State vs. Kiosk Software

In our ongoing series about kiosk software and the other software security options out there, we look at Windows Steady State and Restore on reboot programs.  When looking to protect public access devices, IT professionals often look to programs that will restore your harddrive to it's original state after each reboot.  This solution is a great option for some uses, but it is not appropriate in all situations.  Kiosk software can provide more security for both the device and user information, but will restrict the activities that can be done on the device.  Read the complete post about kiosk software vs. Windows Steady State options.
