KioWare Continues Making KioTouch Accessible

Thursday, August 27, 2020

YORK, Pa. – In March of 2020, KioWare Kiosk System Software began development of KioTouch™ in response to the new challenges presented to society after the global pandemic known as COVID-19. The touchless kiosk interface product allows an end-user to interact with the kiosk through their mobile device.

The goal behind the product was to not make it exclusive to only kiosk deployers who have KioWare installed on their kiosk machines. Instead it was to make KioTouch its own product, able to be implemented into any kiosk network running any kiosk system software. Since being released as its own standalone program, KioTouch has also been integrated into KioWare for Android and KioWare for Windows, giving users with current maintenance and support immediate access to the program.

KioWare continues to develop its products with not only ADA-accessibility in-mind, but also accessibility that a post-COVID world will find valuable in helping to prevent the spread of bacteria and pathogens that could prove potentially harmful to humans.

“Considering cleanliness and how to prevent the spread of COVID as well as other bacteria is crucial moving forward,” KioWare Kiosk System Software President Jim Kruper said, “society is placing a new value on hygienic behavior and it is important now, more than ever, that we in the kiosk industry prioritize that when developing new products.”

KioWare has also developed a cleaning and maintenance timer that helps responsible parties or individuals keep track of when a kiosk has last been cleaned based upon a variety of factors including the number of unique sessions, time since the last session, and more.

Analytical Design Solutions, Inc. dba KioWare has been in business since 1991 providing IT consulting to businesses of all sizes, is located in York, Pennsylvania, and is a worldwide market leader in self-service kiosk and purposed device markets. KioWare is kiosk system software that kiosk applications are built on and is used in over 14,000 projects in over 140 countries with project deployments that range from a handful to many thousands of kiosks.
