YORK, Pa. -- A new version update of KioWare for Anrdoid has been released. Version 4.0 for Android is now available with many improvements that work toward the company’s goal of constantly improving user experience.
Updated Design for Configuration Tool
In the latest edition of KioWare for Android, the configuration tool UI has been updated to be both cleaner and easier to navigate. It makes better use of a tablet's screen real estate, in both portrait and landscape, via a new collapsible navigation. Another new feature includes the ability to toggle between light and dark modes for increased accessibility and convenience.
Added Integration with KioWare Server 5.0
KioWare’s latest version of their kiosk management product, KioWare Server 5.0, was just released and brings a whole new level of power to managing a kiosk or self-service device network. The Full Version of KioWare for Android 4.0 now supports the latest version of KioWare Server.
Migrated Main App Configuration Files
Configuration files used to identify preferences and settings within the programming of a kiosk have been migrated from XML files to JSON files.
Updated Main Browser
The main browser within KioWare for Android now has customizable views with options for user interaction in each view. Also added with this update were additional browsers, toolbars, and spacers for more flexibility.
Consolidated Integrated Device Support
The Basic and Full versions of KioWare for Android no longer need a separate app to integrate devices.
Upgraded Minimum Version Requirements
KioWare for Android 4.0 now requires a minimum version of Android 5.0 for the device operating system.
Various Bug Fixes and Updates
Among the major updates to KioWare for Android 4.0 comes other routine maintenance updates and addressing bugs reported in the previous version of KioWare for Android.
