KioWare for Windows Version 8.21 Update Released

Wednesday, November 6, 2019

YORK, PENNSYLVANIA -- A new version update of KioWare for Windows has been released. Version 8.21 for Windows is now available with many improvements that work towards the company’s goal of constantly improving user experience.

Declassifying Numato GPIO

An update to support Numato’s 32 Channel USB GPIO module, a low cost easily deployable solution for connecting your PC to other electronic circuitry through USB. This, in-turn, will make KioWare even more versatile for users that require additional flexibility from the program.

Addition of a Live Countdown for the Inactivity Timer

Previous versions of KioWare did have an inactivity feature that would timeout user sessions after inactivity was detected. However, previous versions did not display a countdown timer to notify users of how long before the session naturally expired. The latest version of KioWare for Windows includes a countdown that will be visible to the user as the session is preparing to expire.

Other Updates & General Bug Fixes

These new features, along with the addition of support for WIA scanner protocol, support for Tenerum EMV processors, an update to the video player controls, an update to ChipDNA Support to Version 2.12, and other bug fixes were released October 18 and are now available for installation.
