When your digital signage isn’t protected, one accidental click or rogue update can send your screen into chaos — showing a desktop, an error message, or worse. From a mall directory flashing a Windows update, to a lobby display minimized to someone’s inbox, unsecured signage is more than awkward. It’s a trust breaker.
You’ve seen it happen: a looping product promo suddenly replaced by a browser window someone launched “just to check something.” It’s frustrating. It’s unprofessional. And it makes your brand look careless — even when it’s not your fault.
Constantly babysitting your displays isn’t realistic. But leaving them exposed? That’s not an option either.
At KioWare, we know how much is riding on your digital signage working exactly as intended. With 30+ years of experience and thousands of deployments, we’ve helped teams from healthcare systems to shopping centers keep their screens secure, smooth, and always on message.
KioWare is trusted by organizations like CVS Health, Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, and national retail chains to protect their public-facing devices from mishaps, misuse, and meltdown moments.
We’ve configured them to lockdown the workstation OS, which really gives us piece of mind knowing that the general public can only navigate the company website. I do like the available configuration options, we’re taking advantage of the auto-logoff/shutdown feature to close and turn off the PC’s each night at a specified time. KioWare is running so smoothly that once the PC is powered up in the morning it runs itself, supporting the general public on the kiosk stations is literally not an issue for our in-store customer service staff.

Everything has worked exactly as we needed it to and the simple, easy to use backend makes updating a breeze. We currently run this software on 10 kiosks and utilize the tracking log to analyze usage patterns amongst our customers so we can continuously improve our interface. So far, I have yet to run into any issues and have recommended the software to other companies involved in public events and trade shows. Thanks for the great software!
Southern California Edison
KioWare made a word of difference on the project. After installing Kioware and setting up. I have not had to visit the Kiosk once.
