Device Notes
Before plugging in the device, install the 32bit or 64bit USB Virtual COM Driver on the computer (depending on the kiosk's OS). After plugging it in, a new virtual COM port should appear on the system (viewable in the Device Manager under "Ports").
The driver can be downloaded from: http://www.codecorp.com/downloads.php
Select CR1000, and scroll down to 32- or 64-bit USB Virtual Com Driver.
In order to configure the scanner for use in KioWare, you'll need to scan a few barcodes from the Configuration Guide.
For KioWare for Windows, scan:
- USB Virtual COM One Way Mode (required)
- Motion detection in and out of stand.
For KioWare classic, scan:
- USB Virtual COM One Way Mode (required)
- Carriage Return Suffix
- Motion detection in and out of stand.
