KioWare wins Two Outstanding Achievement Awards

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

On Friday, September 29, the winners of the 2006 Self-Service and Kiosk Outstanding Achievement Awards were announced at the San Antonio Self-Service and Kiosk Show. KioWare walked away with two awards: a Silver Award in the Healthcare category and the overall Reader’s Choice Award, spanning across six categories and almost twenty finalists.

KioWare entered the PhreesiaPad, a sleek, cutting-edge wireless WebPad, developed to enhance the patient experience in waiting rooms of doctor offices. The PhreesiaPad replaces the traditional clipboard and pen by interviewing, while educating the patient with the latest medical news pertaining to their concerns. Data is then transferred to the doctor before the patient ever steps foot into the exam room, preparing the doctor and reducing the amount of unnecessary questions.

Phreesia utilizes a sponsorship-based business, providing the PhreesiaPad to doctor offices for free. Phreesia uses KioWare Kiosk Software with server to secure the PhreesiaPad, and also to track usage statistics. The statistics are then provided to sponsors, allowing sponsors to target advertisements on the PhreesiaPad and allowing Phreesia to offer the service for free.
