We have released Version 2.0 of KioWare Lite for Android, KioWare Basic for Android and KioWare Full for Android.
All KioWare for Android products are kiosk mode software, which secures the OS, home screen and applications. KioWare Full for Android also offers a server component that offers remote monitoring and reporting. KioWare Basic for Android, brand new software in this product line, has also been released. In addition to Android device lockdown, KioWare Basic for Android provides support for card readers and NFC devices, as well as the ability to develop third party add-ons.
KioWare Lite for Android new features include:

Security audit - flags configuration settings that pose a security risk so you can opt to change them

Android geolocation support – allows client applications to access this data (however, if this data needs to be alerted via a Server heartbeat, KioWare Full for Android with Server is needed)

Power down without exit - allows user to power down tablet without exiting the application first
KioWare Basic for Android new features include all of the aforementioned KioWare Lite for Android features, as well as the following:

External device support - this includes support for card readers, specifically for this version: Magtek uDynamo secure card reader

NFC Support - allows NFC devices to interface with the client application

Add-ons support - offers the ability to create third party client add-ons to work within KioWare
KioWare Full with Server for Android has all of the aforementioned features, plus these additional new features:

Content updating - remotely update content from a central server daily

GPS location reporting - reports the location of your devices through server heartbeats

Content auditing - checks that all content that should be on the kiosk, is not only there but is also uncorrupted

Application logging - allows an application to upload logs to KioWare Server

Additional reporting and charting – this includes: session, page and kiosk usage stats, overviews, content traversal, page printing, monthly comparison, and kiosk creation, app log and uptime charts
The new version of KioWare Full for Android requires version 4.8.1 of KioWare Server. More information can be found On our KioWare for Android page.
